ABOUT
Music is one of my tools of expression, and through it I have so far managed to carve out three albums, a couple of EPs, as well as a number of still unrecorded works.
I begun playing and writing music in the band The Opus Day in 1992. We played on local stages in Stockholm and recorded a couple of demo albums together. In 1996, after a year as a student in Texas, USA—where I met wonderful people and was introduced to new musical influences—I began creating, writing, and performing solo with guitar, and had the opportunity to perform at various venues and festivals across Sweden.
In 1998, the EP Among Weeds was released, followed by the album Along the Way in 2000. On these recordings I had the pleasure of playing with a number of great musicians, whom I proudly present in the album credits (see Media). We played together until 2000, when I moved from Skåne to Stockholm.
The album A Letter from a City Man became the result of this new phase of life in the city. It was released in the US and the UK by the San Francisco-based label Zip Records in 2004, and later in Sweden by Stockholm-based Alfons Revolt in 2005. In the Media section you can read about the other musicians who contributed to the album’s sound. Over the years, I have also had the pleasure of being joined on stage by the same band and lineup featured on the record. In 2008, we recorded the album Shapes & Shades, from which three tracks have so far been released on the EP Daffodils & Daisies. There are still unreleased tracks from this album waiting to be presented.
Perhaps I have appeared somewhat invisible on stage in recent years, and between performances time has been allowed to take its space. My focus and activity have been behind the scenes, working with music production, visuals, graphics, and design. Now I am gently drawing the curtain back again and hope to see you when the stage opens.
